CANCELLATION POLICY

No refunds on drop-in fees or workshop fees.
No refunds on Dance or Conditioning Passes.
No refunds on Registration Fees.
No cash value refunds on Flex Passes.
Expiration: All 2023/24 Dance and Conditioning passes and Flex Passes expire June 23, 2024.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The Student understands that there is an inherent risk associated with physical activity and assumes all responsibility for that risk. The Student release SEDA Dance Arts, her agents and teachers from any liability arising out of or in consequence of any loss, injury or damage to the Student’s person or personal property while attending at or participating in a class or rehearsal, even if any such loss, injury or damage to the Student’s person or property may have occurred by reason of the negligence of SEDA Dance Arts, its agents or teachers.
Seda Dance reserves the right to cancel any course not maintaining viability based on enrolment with every attempt to move the dancer to an appropriate replacement class. If no class is available, there will be appropriate refunds to dancers.
Seda Dance reserves the right to cancel any contract with a dancer who does not comply with the fee policies, studio etiquette policies, COVID protocols, expectations as a classmate or participant in choreography projects.

REGISTRATION TERMS & CANCELLATION POLICY

June fees are non-refundable. June fee instalment due with first month’s tuition and acts as a deposit toward fees and secures dancer's spot.
Dancers may cancel their contract before the first of the month with one month’s notice. ex: Dancers giving notice on Nov 25th will be responsible for fees until the end of December.
Cancellations after Jan 31, 2024 will be surcharged the discounts they have been receiving for the full year commitment.
No cancellations after March 18, 2024. Dancers have held that spot and received discounts accordingly and therefore are responsible for their fees until the end of the contract.
Flex Pass: Flex Passes are not transferable to another person and cannot be used to replace a month’s fees.
NSF Fee: Any returned charge, whether NSF cheque or rejected Credit Card instalment is subject to a $20 NSF fee.
Change Course fee: 1st change no charge; subsequent changes $30

PANDEMIC CLOSURE

In the event of a government health mandated closure of the studio due the ongoing Covid Pandemic, the studio will shift to some online programming. Dancers will have unlimited access to online programming in lieu of registered classes. In the event of the studio being closed to all classes, Seda will endeavour to freeze student accounts based on current leasehold forgiveness.

HEALTH PROTOCOLS

Seda Dance follows the direction of the BC Health Authority in regards to all Covid Safety Protocols. Dancers must comply with all safety protocols in order to participate at the studio.

PANDEMIC HEALTH AND SAFETY CHECKS

HAVE YOU READ THE SEDA DANCE HEALTH AND PHYSICAL DISTANCING PROTOCOLS AND AGREE TO ABIDE BY THEM?
DO YOU HAVE A FEVER ABOVE 37 DEGREES C?
DO YOU HAVE SYMPTOMS SUCH AS : FEVER, CHILLS, COUGH, SHORTNESS OF BREATH, SORE THROAT AND PAINFUL SWALLOWING, LOSS OF SMELL, HEADACHE, MUSCLE ACHES, FATIGUE, LOSS OF APPETITE?
WERE YOU ADVISED TO SELF ISOLATE BY A HEALTH OFFICIAL IN THE LAST 14 DAYS?

If you are experiencing any of the above issues, please contact the studio and do not attend class until you have been cleared by the director.

IMAGE AND VIDEO RELEASE

I agree to release my image in any Seda Dance performance or rehearsal video or photography for the purposes of Seda Dance promotions.

STUDENT EXPECTATIONS

Dancers are expected to maintain good attendance in their chosen registered classes in order to get the most out of their practice, contribute to the well being of the progressive course, and maintain a strong body that can cope with the course as it progresses.
Dancers are expected to be on time and prepared for class, and contribute to the positive well being of the space and the other dancers.
Dancers are expected to review the Studio Etiquette page on the website and adhere to all policies there.
Dancers will turn off cell phones (unless and an urgent situation) and not check any devices throughout the classes.
Performance is a wonderful and inherent part of the dance experience. Registered Dancers will need to commit to the (June )year end performance by March 1, 2024. Dancers choosing not to perform may participate fully in class and choreography building throughout the course. Dancers choosing not to perform may attend level appropriate non-performance classes in the final month of classes during final show preparations.
Dancers are responsible for costume costs for any piece they participate in and will adhere to deadlines in regards to sourcing costuming or paying for costume fees.
Dancers are offered additional performance opportunities throughout the year. If a dancer chooses to participate in additional Choreographic Projects, they will be required to commit to a Performers Contract. Cancellation from the project, or removal by the director/choreographer of the project will result in no refund.

CLASS ETIQUETTE

Please be on time for class. You want to be settled and ready for your class. If your class starts at 6pm, you should be at the studio by 5:50. Classes are back to back and the shift between classes is quick. If you happen to be late, wait until there is natural break to quietly slide in to your class. Teachers reserve the right to refuse entry to the class. Dancers who are consistently late will be asked to withdraw.
No eating in class. Water bottles only, please.
Try not to come and go during class or leave early. Your class is a bubble that we hold during our time together. Coming and going is disruptive, and you will miss something great if you step out. If you need a break, stand to the side and take a minute for yourself. If you are opting out of jumping at the end, for example, stay on the side, stretch, and cheer on your fellow dancers. There is still lots to learn by watching.
Phones off, please, unless you have an urgent circumstance that day.

Participate in a reverence in ballet, applaud for yourself, each other and your teacher at the end of each class. It’s a lovely and professional way to show your appreciation for the sharing of that work and time together.

Consistency is important. If a registered student misses a class, it is encouraged that they use their Flex pass to make up the class within two weeks.
