EQUINE ASSISTED LEARNING/COACHING is an experiential learning approach that promotes the development of life skills for educational, professional and personal goals through equine-assisted activities. In these sessions, interactions with the horses are guided by planned activities designed to meet the identified goals or desires of the participants, and help develop important life skills such as trust, respect, honesty and communication. Working with the horses allows participants to be more aware of their non-verbal communication, and how it might be impacting their relationships with others. Additionally, working with such large and powerful creatures helps clients gain self-esteem and confidence, which can then be applied to other areas of life.
