Using CatCourse Templates to Build Your Course Site Quickly
Held ONLINE across 4 consecutive days, this workshop is designed to get your course site built quickly using pre-built templates to organize and add content. Starting with your syllabus, you will create a roadmap, select a template, add a minimum of four weeks of your course content, learn and practice video recording and create a welcome video for your students. You will have the opportunity to work with course design experts throughout the process and discuss various strategies with faculty peers.
Using CatCourses to Organize Course Content
This workshop walks through how to organize your course using Modules in CatCourses. Providing visual organization and a welcome module for students is a research-based, best practice. Logical visual organization by week or module helps students easily understand and access weekly assignments, quizzes, videos etc. This lowers stress and cognitive load for your class participants.
Creating and Editing Instructional Videos
For instructors interested in creating instructional videos to post in CatCourses. This online workshop covers the pedagogical considerations and the basics of recording and uploading your videos.
Using Zoom for Instruction or Business meetings
This workshop covers getting set up and using Zoom for class or discussion sessions, office hours and 1-1 meetings with students or colleagues. We will discuss scheduling meetings, using breakout rooms, annotating on slides and recording sessions and uploading recorded videos into CatCourses .
Hands-on help to prepare your course site for Fall semester 2021 (for Faculty)

Instructional Video Recording Request
In order to request a classroom or conference room on campus for synchronous course delivery or Zoom recording, a brief meeting with AET is required. Use this link to complete a short form and schedule a time to meet with AET. This brief meeting is required at least 3 days before you plan to us the space on campus.
