This program covers the remarkable adaptations that allow polar bears and walrus to survive in the extreme and unforgiving Arctic environment. Through some icy activities, students will get to experience how these animals have adapted, including special fur to unique feet to layers of fat, to this unforgiving and rapidly changing environment. Discussions include what a warming ocean means for these animals and their future. These courses are for 6th-12th graders.
