Monthly Tuition:
Tuition is charged monthly in advance and is spread equally over the course of a year. The monthly payment amount is divided evenly between the 12 months of the year. This means that whether there are 5 or 2 lessons in that month, the tuition fee is exactly the same. Students are allocated 36 lessons per year. This is to allow for teacher or student away dates. Tuition fees cover lesson time, preparation time, student play-along resources, and lesson materials.
Example:
If hourly lessons are £25 each, the monthly charge will be £75 per month.
£25 x 36 / 12 months = £75 per month.
Payment date:
If you require a change of payment date, please get in touch. Your payment date may vary slightly and exact dates aren’t always guaranteed.
Make-up lesson credits:
If you can’t make it to your normal lesson time, make-up lessons can be offered, as long as I have a minimum of 24 hours’ notice via text or email. You can accumulate up to 3 make-up lesson credits at a time, and it’s important to use them before you reach the limit. An online calendar will be provided for parents to choose a time for make-up lessons. Regular attendance is important for progress, and excessive absences may result in losing your slot to another student.
Annual lessons allocation:
I keep records of how many lessons each student has taken throughout the year. If less than 36 lessons have been taken, make-up lessons will be offered. If you would like to take more than 36 lessons, a top-up payment can be made to cover the cost, or monthly tuition can be adjusted.
Summer attendance:
Students who attend summer classes are guaranteed their time slot in the autumn. If you’re gone for the summer, you’re welcome to register in September if I still have room. Regular attendance is important for progress.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation with my policy, and I look forward to continuing to provide quality guitar tuition to my students.
