In order to make the best use of time and schedule the correct appointment type, please review the information below:
Case Assessments: These are FREE 15-Minute phone calls to determine if we are the best fit to meet your legal needs. Legal advice and guidance are NOT provided during case assessments. Please provide a description of your legal needs in the additional notes section. Include party names, case numbers (if applicable), and any future court dates.
Consultations: The Law Office of Erika A. Williams, a Professional Corporation prides itself on the ability to provide customized solutions for each prospective client. There are three (3) types of consultations to choose from:
A signed Consultation Agreement is REQUIRED prior to the start of any consultation and Attorney Williams may request additional documentation prior to the scheduled consultation. Please watch your email for further Consultation/Document Review instructions. Cancellation Policy applies to these events.
- Regular 1-Hour Zoom ONLY Consultation: During the consultation, we will discuss the details of your case for a case evaluation and general steps in a certain area of law. Following the Regular Consultation, you will receive a limited Strategic Action Plan within three (3) business days of the consultation completion.
- Legal Opinion Consultation: This is a 1-Hour Zoom ONLY consultation, with limited document review, after which you will receive a full legal opinion memo within six (6) business days' of consultation completion.
- Document Review Only: The documentation review, is limited to documentation review only and does not include either a telephonic, Zoom, or in-person meeting with Attorney Williams. After the documentation review is completed, you will receive a written analysis of the documents provided within two (2) business days' of the scheduled date.
Case Prep Meetings (Phone/Zoom): Each case file is given the focused attention that it requires and every stage of a case is different. These meetings are scheduled for existing clients ONLY to discuss:
- Case Goals;
- Case Details;
- Case Strategy;
- Case Documents;
- Case Filings; and,
- Next Steps
Attorney Williams may require you to provide documents ahead of this meeting for her to review prior to sitting down with you. Please watch your email for pre-meeting instructions. Cancellation Policy applies to these events.
30-Minute Client Update Calls (Phone): We know that our clients' legal issues can create anxiety and you want to know where your case stands regularly. These calls are scheduled for existing clients ONLY to discuss:
- Hearing dates;
- New Orders;
- New Filings;
- Changes in Client Circumstances; and,
- Next Steps
Attorney Williams may provide documents ahead of this meeting for you to review prior to this call. Please watch your email for pre-call instructions/documents.
Webinars: We regularly offer FREE educational webinars to support a greater understanding of your legal options. Space is limited for these webinars.
Workshops: We regularly offer PAID workshops to our legal partners and clients. These workshops include engagement, handouts, and takeaways. Additionally, attendees often receive discounts on future legal services. Space is limited for these workshops. Cancellation Policy applies to these events.
Our goal is to provide quality legal services to all our clients in a timely manner. When you book your appointment, you are holding space on our calendar that is no longer available to our other clients.
In order to be respectful of your fellow clients, please email us at email@example.com as soon as you know you will not be able to make your appointment. If cancellation is necessary, we require that you email at least 72 hours in advance. Appointments are in high demand, and this notice will allow another client access to that appointment time. We will respond to your email as soon as possible.
Refer to your Fee Agreement for your specific rate. Cancellations made 3 days or more in advance of the appointment date will receive a 100% refund. Cancellations made within 2 days will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made within 24 hours will not receive a refund.
