Mosquito League Program Reservation

GLACVCD's Mosquito League Program is free to all schools in the District's service area and is geared toward 5th-grade students. Students will learn about mosquitoes, their public health significance, and how to take action against mosquitoes in their homes/communities.

Things to Consider:

  • The Education Program is only available to 5th-grade students.
  • Staff can present up to three (3) classes per school day.
  • Teachers CANNOT combine classes.
    • Please consider each classroom individually, and reserve their own timeslot. No matter the classroom size.
  • Schools may reserve a maximum of two (2) days per academic school year.
  • The earliest class time can begin at 9:00 am.

Available Programs:

Presentations can be done in the classroom, after-school room, or a multipurpose room We will bring our tablet, USB, extension cords, and hotspot for the presentation. Rooms must have a projector to display presentations.

Weather-Related Reservation Cancellation Policy:

At the Greater Los Angeles County Vector Control District, the safety and well-being of students, staff, and our team are our highest priorities. In the event of severe weather conditions that could pose a risk to safety, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule your school's reservation.

Examples of weather-related concerns include, but are not limited to:

  • Extreme heat or cold
  • Heavy rain or thunderstorms
  • High winds
  • Poor air quality

We will notify your school as soon as possible if a cancellation is necessary. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
