GLACVCD's Education Program is free to all schools located within the District's service area and is geared towards students in the 5th grade. Students will learn about mosquitoes, their public health significance, and how to take action against mosquitoes in their homes/communities.

Our staff can present up to three (3) classes per school day. Please schedule a second date if your school has more than three (3) 5th-grade classes. Our staff will work around your regular school/after-school schedule including recess and lunch breaks.

Presentations can be done in the classroom, after-school room, or a multipurpose room We will bring our tablet, USB, extension cords, and hotspot for the presentation. Rooms must have a projector to display presentations.

In-Person Program: During School Hours

Schedule an In-Person Presentation and bring mosquito education into your classroom. While abiding by COVID-19 safety protocols, we can deliver a hands-free presentation on your school’s campus.

The In-Person Program is also available in bilingual. Note: If you would like to request a bilingual presentation, your reservation will need to be 1 hour and 30 minutes.

In-Person Program: After-School Hours

Schedule an After-School Presentation and bring mosquito education to your students. While abiding by COVID-19 safety protocols, we can deliver a hands-free presentation on your school’s campus.

The after-school program is also available in bilingual. Note: Bilingual presentations require 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Virtual Program

Using Zoom video conferencing or your school’s platform of choice.
