Alternate Changes and Substitutions Now that we’ve learned the basics, let’s look at some alternate substitution ideas over each phrase while crafting beautiful lines –exploring the nooks and crannies of the blues form. 4. Putting It All Together (Musical Improvisation) This lesson is about making the music speak, and making it swing! You’ll come away with a set of fun and creative examples using what you’ve learned in the previous lessons. 5. Outlier Tunes [or Student Choice] Choose your own adventure! We can either look at some outlier tunes with unusual blues changes or return to something from the previous lessons for a deeper dive -the choice is yours! Who Is This For?
