BOOK YOUR ROLE - Acting & Auditioning for the Camera w/ Shawn-Caulin Young

INVITE ONLY—This masterclass is for current or past clients and students who have completed the required Foundations class, AAC at the Hartt School, are a manager/agent referral, or are current or past clients of Shawn-Caulin Young. This weekly 150-minute class is geared toward working professionals and includes a self-tape mastery component. We will explore and hone a new scene each month, developing high-quality self-tapes for submission to agents, managers, and casting. Actors will workshop and refine personalized scenes from film and TV to develop their acting and auditioning skills with a weekly self-tape of the month's work. The work will be reviewed for further personal and artistic development feedback. This is a guided self-study of the craft of acting for the camera through the teachings of Young's 20+ years of study of the craft and his professional career. Exercises used were learned from the teachings of Guskin, Stanislavsky, Meisner, Adler, Hagan, Moss, Meindl, and Markland Chubbuck, among others.

Designed to build confidence and prepare aspiring professional actors for a lifelong career in film/TV. Talent learns proven exercises and techniques to help them BOOK WORK & SECURE REPRESENTATION for themselves—a straightforward, no-BS approach to acting for the camera in any genre. Talent will learn how to master auditioning with a final self-tape of their work that can be used to generate opportunities for themselves instead of waiting for permission. This is a life-changing acting intensive.

This 120-minute class is designed for TEEN actors who have completed the required Foundations class, are referrals, or are current or past clients of Shawn-Caulin Young. Actors will workshop and refine personalized scenes from film and TV to develop their acting skills for a final self-tape of the month's work. The work will be reviewed for feedback. This is a guided study of the craft of acting for the camera through the teachings of Young's 20+ years of study of the craft and his professional career. Exercises used were learned from the teachings of Guskin, Stanislavsky, Meisner, Adler, Hagan, Moss, Meindl, and Markland, Chubbuck, among others. (Ages 10-16)

This 90-minute virtual class is designed for KID actors (8-12) who have completed the required Foundations class, are agent/manager referrals, or are current or past clients of Shawn-Caulin Young. Young actors will workshop and refine age-appropriate scenes from current and past films and TV shows to develop their on-camera acting skills and audition techniques. Personalized feedback and homework will be given based on the week's work. This is a guided study of the craft of acting for the camera through the teachings of Young, who has studied the craft for 20+ years, has a professional career, and has coached some of Hollywood's best. The exercises used were learned from the teachings of Guskin, Batson, Stanislavsky, Meisner, Adler, Hagan, Moss, Meindl, Markland, and Chubbuck, among others.
