Aaron Hilliard, Mycology Educator and Youtuber of the popular foraging channel Mushroom Wonderland is now offering private wild mushroom tours this mushroom season. Some will be held on select weekend days, some on weekdays. We will do a informative walk into the forest and talk about the ecosystem and fungi's role in it, as well as look at and describe the many wild fungi growing trailside. The tour will conclude with a cup of medicinal mushroom based hot cocoa and a wild mushroom cooking demo to show how you should prepare your wild mushroom finds. There will be no guarantee of coming home with a basket of wild mushrooms for your own table, but you will leave with enough knowledge to confidently start foraging your own wild mushrooms. As they say- give a man a mushroom and he will eat for a day, teach a man to hunt mushrooms and he will eat for a lifetime!
