Terms & Conditions for 1:1 Spiritual Direction Services

1. Services Overview

- Individual spiritual direction sessions are offered on a one-to-one basis between the Spiritual Director ("Director") and the Client ("Client").

- Sessions typically last 60 minutes unless otherwise agreed upon.

- Services are offered via Zoom as mutually arranged.

2. Nature of Relationship

- Spiritual direction is a contemplative practice that focuses on the Client's spiritual journey and relationship with the divine/sacred.

- The Director is not a licensed therapist, counselor, or medical professional.

- These services do not constitute mental health counseling, psychotherapy, or medical treatment.

3. Confidentiality

- All session content is kept strictly confidential.

- Exceptions to confidentiality include:

- Imminent risk of harm to self or others

- Suspected abuse of minors or vulnerable adults

- Legal requirements or court orders

- Written permission from the Client

4. Scheduling and Cancellation

- Sessions must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance.

- Cancellations require 24-hour notice.

- Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) or no-shows will be charged the full session fee.

- The Director reserves the right to cancel sessions due to illness or emergency, with reasonable notice when possible.

5. Fees and Payment

- The fee per session is $150 USD, unless a package is purchased.

- Payment is due at time of booking.

- Accepted payment methods: credit card, check, or Venmo.

- Fees are subject to change with 30 days' notice.

6. Professional Boundaries

- The Director maintains appropriate professional boundaries at all times.

- The relationship is strictly professional and focused on spiritual direction.

- Social media connections between Director and Client are discouraged.

7. Client Responsibilities

- Arrive on time for scheduled sessions.

- Provide accurate information relevant to spiritual direction.

- Communicate any concerns or questions about the direction process.

- Maintain appropriate boundaries and professional conduct.

8. Disclaimer

- Results from spiritual direction vary by individual.

- No specific outcomes are guaranteed.

- For mental health concerns, clients are encouraged to seek appropriate professional help.

9. Termination

- Either party may terminate the spiritual direction relationship at any time.

- The Director may terminate services if:

- The Client's needs exceed the Director's scope of practice

- Professional boundaries are violated

- Payment obligations are not met

- The Director believes termination is in the Client's best interest

10. Emergency Procedures

- The Director is not available for emergency support.

- In case of emergency, clients should:

- Call emergency services (911)

- Contact their mental health provider

- Use appropriate crisis hotlines

11. Electronic Communications

- Email and text communications are for scheduling purposes and for brief check-ins between booked sessions.

- Confidential matters should be discussed during sessions only.

- Online sessions use Zoom with appropriate security measures.

12. Agreement

By engaging in spiritual direction services, the Client acknowledges understanding and agreement to these terms and conditions.
