RAPID COVID TESTING
Attention: The COVID Uninsured Program has ended. Insurance is required for no-cost* testing. Otherwise, the regular fee will be assessed.
Rapid COVID PCR Test (Available as *No Cost OR for TRAVEL)
The Rapid PCR COVID test is a real time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction test that uses a sample taken from a nasal swab to detect the ribonucleic acid (RNA) from SARS-CoV-2, commonly known as the coronavirus.
If this diagnostic test is positive for COVID-19, it means that it has detected the virus’ genetic material and the person is CURRENTLY infected the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Once any of the infection is gone, the RNA disappears, and that test will be negative.
A positive test is considered very accurate, but it’s possible to be infected and have a negative RNA result. Testing less than five to six days after exposure to the corona virus is likely to produce a negative RNA result. No Covid-19 test is 100% accurate, so it’s important to follow Covid-19 guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, such as social distancing.
This test is suitable for humans of any age, including infants.
Rapid COVID Antigen Test
The Rapid Antigen COVID test uses a sample taken from a nasal swab to detect the nucleocapsid protein from SARS-CoV-2, commonly known as the corona virus. If this rapid diagnostic test is positive, it means that the person is CURRENTLY infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Once the infection is gone, the antigen disappears, and the test will be negative.
A positive test is considered very accurate, but it’s possible to be infected with the virus and have a negative antigen result. Testing less than five to six days after exposure to the corona virus is likely to produce a negative antigen result. No Covid-19 test is 100% accurate, so it’s important to follow Covid-19 guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, such as social distancing.
While both the COVID Antigen and PCR tests are no costs to patients, we can only guarantee same-day results (usually within 8 hours). If you need your results within 1-hour guaranteed, a $50 expedite fee can be selected.
*PLEASE NOTE* The scheduler only allows booking out to 2 days in advance. If you are looking to book your appointment further out, please check back when your desired day is within 48 hours. This is to ensure availability of testing supplies.
*No-Cost-To-Patient for insured patients when testing is deemed medically necessary. 'For Travel' or for 'Work/School' is NOT deemed medically necessary.
You will receive a text message reminder before your appointment
