Tarraxinha is a partner dance that derives from Kizomba and and is known for its sensuality; the name means “little screw in a bolt.” Originating from Angola, Africa; the music often has little melody and a much heavier-hitting bass than Kizomba. Tarraxinha is danced in place with minimal traveling and is focused on connection, synchronicity, and pelvic isolations. Two bodies moving as one.
